Get to know ESTIA.
A neighborhood
movement home.
ESTIA House of Movement was created around a simple idea: movement can have a place in your life at every age.
Founder Lydia Perakis, a dancer, personal trainer and educator from Crete, brought more than a decade of teaching experience across New York City into one shared movement home. She holds a BFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
ESTIA’s approach is rooted in curiosity, care and trauma-informed teaching. Dance and fitness share the same space, bringing together people of different ages, interests and experience levels.
Some people come because they’ve always wanted to dance. Others miss it or want time in their week for something creative. Those different starting points are part of the community here.
