ESTIA Launches an After School Dance Program for Brooklyn Kids
Ballet & Modern/Contemporary classes for Pre-K through Grade 3 — enrollment open now for Winter & Spring 2026
We are so excited to officially introduce our After School Dance Program — a new offering bringing Ballet and Modern/Contemporary Dance to Brooklyn children from Pre-K all the way through Grade 3, right in the heart of our studio community.
At ESTIA House of Movement, we've always believed that children deserve access to real, thoughtful dance education — not just performance prep. This program is our answer to a question we hear constantly from Brooklyn families: Where can my child learn to dance in a way that's genuinely fun, technique-driven, and community-focused — without the financial pressure of elaborate recitals?
Starting this Winter 2026, we're opening our studio doors after school each week for young movers in two age groups, with dedicated class days that take kids from their school day into a focused, joyful movement environment.
What the Program Looks Like
Each weekly session is thoughtfully structured to ease the transition from school into studio — with time to snack, settle, and connect before the movement begins. Here's how an afternoon unfolds:
DAILY SCHEDULE
2:30 PM — School pick-up from Brooklyn Arbor (optional add-on)
3:00 – 3:30 PM — Drop-off, snack, changing & community time
3:30 – 4:15 PM — Ballet class
4:15 – 5:00 PM — Modern/Contemporary dance class
5:00 – 5:30 PM — Cool-down & flexible pick-up window
Classes are split by age group so every child is learning with peers at a similar developmental stage:
Wednesdays: Pre-K & Kindergarten
Thursdays: Grades 1, 2 & 3
Why This Program Is Different
"We center learning and joy rather than pressure, over-preparation, or expensive recital culture. Young dancers learn real technique in intimate groups, building confidence, body awareness, skill, and creative curiosity."
— ESTIA House of Movement
Traditional after school dance programs in New York can feel transactional — attendance fees, costume fees, recital fees, and a pressure-filled spring showcase that leaves families exhausted. We built something different. Here's what sets our program apart:
Real Technique — Age-appropriate ballet and contemporary foundations taught with integrity — not shortcuts or watered-down versions of adult classes.
Intimate Groups — Small class sizes mean every child receives genuine attention and grows at their own pace.
Community First — A warm, inclusive studio culture where children connect and develop creative confidence alongside their peers.
Family Showcase — Not a Production — Each session ends with a performance for friends and family — a real celebration of growth without costume costs or rehearsal overload.
Session Dates & Pricing
The program runs across two seasonal sessions — Winter and Spring — so families can try ESTIA without committing to a full year. Each session includes every week of classes plus the end-of-session showcase performance.
