Kids Classes
Level 1 (ages 3–5) focuses on body awareness, emotional self-expression, and listening skills through creative movement and play. Kids begin associating movement with emotional regulation and social connection while strengthening their physicality.
Level 2 (ages 6-9) establishes the fundamentals of ballet & contemporary/modern dance through foundational movements, musicality, and developing strength and flexibility.
Level 3 (ages 10-14) develops strong technical elements in ballet, contemporary/modern or Hip Hop while reinforcing foundational techniques and encouraging more complexity. Students can choose to participate in any of the 3 available dance styles for this age group.
Level 4 (ages 14-18) starts pre-professional training in ballet & contemporary/modern or Hip Hop, incorporating challenging movement vocabulary and choreography skills. Students can start establishing dance goals and inquire about our mentorship programs to prepare for intensives, auditions, or professional dance careers.
Adult Classes
Open-level Ballet, Modern/Contemporary and Hip Hop classes
are offered for adult movers of all backgrounds, blending technique, body awareness, and self-expression.
Adult classes are beginner-intermediate to give students a safe space to begin their movement journey or build upon their previous foundation and existing skills. Our adult classes will help you make meaningful connections while exploring new aspects of your body’s capacity to move in a supportive environment.
All of our adult classes are offered in a drop-in format, so you can take as many or as few sessions as you’d like based on your goals and schedule. Each class introduces new material that builds from week to week but is also designed to stand alone, so you’ll never feel behind if you miss a session.
You can come once in a while for fun and movement, or take multiple classes per week if you’d like to progress more quickly. The choice is yours, with flexibility and steady growth built into our program.

Kids Classes FAQs
-
All of our classes are offered in a drop-in format, giving you full flexibility in how often your child attends. Some families come once a week, others prefer multiple times per week for faster progress, and some join only occasionally. All options work within our program.
Each Level introduces new material every week that builds for students who attend consistently, while still being designed to stand alone, so a child dropping in will never feel behind.
-
Consistency and frequency are key to developing strong dance technique. After age 7, we recommend training at least twice a week. After age 9, students aiming for a pre-professional level should ideally train three to four times per week, allowing them to build technique across different dance styles.
For students looking for even more focused growth, private sessions with our founder offer the opportunity to refine technique, work through specific challenges, prepare audition material, and create a personalized training plan for those pursuing dance more seriously.
-
At ESTIA, all of our teachers are working professional dancers who are actively performing, choreographing, and contributing to the dance community. We believe that we are all lifelong students, and that philosophy is reflected in our faculty’s approach to teaching and learning.
We also strive to create welcoming and empowering spaces that both challenge and inspire our movers. Our classes emphasize commitment, curiosity, and joy, helping each student grow not only as a dancer but as an artist and individual.

We begin class at the barre working on foundational steps building strength & flexibility while still warming up the body properly, exercise by exercise. We eventually dance in the center working on more complicated steps playing with musicality and learning how to move as part of a group.
-
We begin with a full-body warm-up, focusing on each muscle group to build strength, flexibility, and awareness. Breathing exercises help connect movement to your nervous system, waking up both internal and external awareness. From there, we start moving through space with simple exercises that gradually build into more complex combinations.
Each class includes a short improvisation guided by creative prompts. No experience is needed, and your teacher will support you every step of the way. To finish, we learn and perform choreography to a new song each class.
This class is truly designed for all movers, no matter your background. If it all sounds a little daunting, we encourage you to stop by and talk with our founder, who will happily answer questions and guide you through what to expect before you join.
-
Designed for adults looking to refine their dancing skills, whether on stage or in the club, this class blends groove-based movement with detailed choreography. Each session focuses on musicality, individuality, and how to make grooving always feel good.

Lydia is a fantastic ballet teacher; my daughter adores her classes and takes as many as she can. Great personalized corrections and fun music too!
Parent Review
“She helped my daughter prepare for an audition. She taught her confidence tips, gave her advice for audition success and gave her helpful feedback on technique.”
Parent Review
“Lydia is equally concerned about the mental and emotional growth and health of her students. Dance is not just an activity or hobby for her students, it’s an art form and a way of life.”
Parent Review
Lydia was exactly what we needed. We had a big audition coming up that my daughter was very apprehensive and nervous about. Lydia helped point out all her positives and gave her great insight to what Judges will look for and expect. It gave my daughter a huge boost of confidence that paid off! 100% would recommend.
