ESTIA House of Movement is a place to move and to be moved
Kids Classes
Level 1 (ages 3–5) focuses on body awareness, emotional self-expression, and listening skills through creative movement and play. Kids begin associating movement with emotional regulation and social connection while cultivating collaboration skills and strengthening their physicality.
Level 2 (ages 6-9) establishes the fundamentals of ballet & contemporary/modern dance through foundational movements, musicality, and developing strength and flexibility. We work on cultivating empathy skills, collaborating as a team, and practicing challenging combinations as a self-confidence building tool.
Level 3 (ages 10-14) develops strong technical elements in ballet & contemporary/modern while reinforcing foundational techniques and encouraging more complexity. Students will explore their identity through dance and express their unique personality and dance style in a safe and supportive environment.
Level 4 (ages 14-18) starts pre-professional training in ballet & contemporary/modern, incorporating all of the training from Levels 1-3 to execute challenging movement vocabulary and create their own choreography with emotional depth, confident stage presence, and their unique personal style. Students can start establishing dance goals and inquire about our mentorship programs to prepare for intensives, auditions, or professional dance careers.
What class to take?
All of our classes are offered in a drop-in format, giving you full flexibility in how often your child attends. Some families come once a week, others prefer multiple times per week for faster progress, and some join only occasionally. All of these options work within our program.
Each Level introduces new material every week that builds for students who attend consistently, while still being designed to stand alone (so a child dropping in will never feel behind).
Our goal is simple: to provide a program where parents don’t feel pressured and students feel supported. Whether your child comes once in a while or makes it part of their weekly routine, they’ll have the chance to learn, grow, and enjoy dance at their own pace.
Dance Attire:
Kids should wear comfortable clothes they can move in. We don’t have school uniforms, but leotards and tights, leggings or other activewear are recommended.
Shoes:
Soft ballet shoes are strongly encouraged for ballet. Kids can wear non-slippery socks or come barefoot for contemporary.
Click here for an example of soft ballet shoes.
What to bring:
Be sure to bring water to stay hydrated throughout class!
Class arrival:
Please arrive 10 minutes before class time. We do have a 10 minute grace period after class has started in order to ensure all students are properly warmed up for their safety.

Adult Classes
Open-level ballet & modern/contemporary classes are offered for adult movers of all backgrounds, blending technique, body awareness, and self-expression.
Adult classes are beginner-intermediate to give students a safe space to begin their movement journey or build upon their previous foundation and existing skills. Our adult classes will help you make meaningful connections while exploring new aspects of your body’s capacity to move in a supportive environment.
What class to take?
All of our adult classes are offered in a drop-in format, so you can take as many or as few sessions as you’d like based on your goals and schedule. Each class introduces new material that builds from week to week but is also designed to stand alone.
This means you can skip a week without falling behind, or take multiple classes in the same week if you’d like to progress more quickly. The choice is yours, with flexibility and steady growth built into our program.
What does a Ballet class include?
We begin class at the barre working on foundational steps building strength & flexibility while still warming up the body properly, exercise by exercise. We eventually dance in the center working on more complicated steps playing with musicality and learning how to move as part of a group.
What does a Contemporary/Modern class include?
We begin with a full-body warm-up, focusing on each muscle group to build strength, flexibility, and awareness. Breathing exercises help connect movement to your nervous system, waking up both internal and external awareness. From there, we start moving through space with simple exercises that gradually build into more complex combinations.
Each class includes a short improvisation guided by creative prompts. No experience is needed, and your teacher will support you every step of the way. To finish, we learn and perform choreography to a new song each class.
This class is truly designed for all movers, no matter your background. If it all sounds a little daunting, we encourage you to stop by and talk with our founder, who will happily answer questions and guide you through what to expect before you join.
What to Wear to Adult Dance Classes:
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and you feel your most authentic and empowered self in!

Soft ballet shoes are highly encouraged, but not required for ballet. Wear non-slippery socks or come barefoot for contemporary.
